VMD Global Health and Omnipoynt Solutions donate nearly a half-million medical gloves

BALTIMORE, MD -- VMD Global Health and Omnipoynt Solutions announced today that they have donated 479,000 nitrile medical gloves to Johns Hopkins Medicine to aid in COVID-19 patient care and vaccine distribution. The donation comes at an important time as the virus has surged to record levels, the vaccines begin to roll out, and there remains a chronic shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Omnipoynt Solutions and VMD Medical have formed a joint venture and have been supplying critical PPE and medical supplies since the start of the pandemic. “During the holidays, it’s important to remember to give back to the community,” said Aaron Poynton, CEO of Omnipoynt Solutions and a 2001 John’s Hopkins University Army ROTC graduate. “Our medical professionals have been real heroes in 2020, and I could not think of a more fitting gift,” said Harold Mills, CEO of VMD Global Health.
Johns Hopkins is at the forefront of the COVID-19 pandemic, treating tens of thousands of patients around the country at its six hospitals and over 40 patient care locations. The gloves will be donated to Johns Hopkins Medicine, for use in patient care facilities.
